For more than thirty years, Maple Landmark has been producing wooden toys in rural Middlebury, Vermont. Using wood that comes from native species—primarily rock maple, as well as some pine and cherry—the company supports responsible forestry practices and purchases the majority of its lumber from one local source. Maple Landmark is a family-run business that employs more than forty people, who are paid and treated fairly and work in a safe facility, according to US labor and safety standards.
ETHICAL SOURCES
We source all of our products from small fair trade organizations and brands that prioritize their employees and the Earth over their bottom line.
EARLY LITERACY + PLAY
We believe in the value of books, play, and early literacy. That's why we have created a collection of heirloom toys and classic and contemporary picture books lovingly curated by our resident children's librarian.
